Hello! May has been a busy month, and I have lots to share!
First, the sad news. My first ever vendor opportunity came from selling my work at Nest (located on Main Street in Columbia, South Carolina). They officially closed up shop this month. They were amazing to work with, and I am so appreciative to have gotten to be a part of them.
Earlier in the month, three of my illustrations were on show at the Arts on the Ridge Juried Art Show! Arts on the Ridge happens in Ridgeway, South Carolina each spring. This was the first year I had participated/attended/ever heard of it. They were incredibly welcoming, and the downtown is super quaint. The art council invited me to leave my pieces for sale/display in the gallery located in the shop Over the Top. If you ever pass through Rideway, stop in!
I continue to be beyond excited about the May issue of Skirt! Magazine being out and about in the world all month!
Lastly, I ventured into the world of pop-ups this month. I had the opportunity to show/sell my work at The Collective for one night at their end of the school year event! I drive past them on my way to work every morning, and never knew what a local gem it is! It is an artist collective of women making beautiful well-crafted items. Fine art, prints, jewelry, updated vintage furniture, and more. They are also incredibly kind and talented. If you are in South Carolina, please support them! If you are not in South Carolina, support your local businesses and artisans (especially women owned)!
Forthcoming: I will be joining a fellow artist this summer at one of my local farmer’s markets. You can follow the dates on my Facebook or Instagram.
